On June 17, 2011, I arrived in Bermuda alone after being at sea for eight days and nights. Once I sailed up to the Customs Dock and tied by boat off, I was asked this question:
“Where’s your crew?”
My answer was simple, “I don’t have one. I am alone.”
Hearing that question sent a deep reflection into my soul which resonates to this day exactly four years later. The entire adventure transformed me in separate stages of growth. I suppose too much thrown at me by the Universe at one time and I would have lost it completely. (Funny, some think I completely lost it years ago…LOL.)
I could keep writing, but today is an anniversary of sorts. I am going to take the dog of me, Lucky, to the beach where he can run and chase the shadow of birds as they fly past him. Me? I will stare out to sea and dream of the day when I set sail again.
The video was shot by me on a camera I had while at sea. I shot this on June 17, 2011 at the end of my first day back in “civilization”. The power of the phrase, “Entry By Sea” can be seen here.
Doing things like this is how I Thrive.
